Founded in 2010, Nomanini has designed a payments software platform and terminal device that can be used to sell mobile or utility services and can also act as a collection point for micro-loans, micro-insurance and mobile money. By serving the informal market, Nomanini provides economic opportunities to small enterprises and BoP customers. The broad social impact of the company helps underserved communities gain access to basic needs while aiding clients to bolster their product distribution. Since its founding, Nomanini has expanded from Cape Town into Nigeria, Mozambique, Ghana, Kenya and Zambia.
Goodwell aims to build inclusive financial systems, as a solid foundation for healthy and inclusive economic growth. Nomanini’s mission is to make electronic transactions accessible, affordable and convenient for underserved and underbanked consumers. Lower transaction costs increase spendable income of low income consumers. Consequently, informal retailers are able to reduce costs and increase income by offering new products.
Goodwell has assisted Nomanini through their strategic shifts and further expansions across Africa. Goodwell has also aided the company by connecting the company to other institutional investors.
